City Club of Columbia welcomes friends throughout the community to enjoy opportunities for social connection, education, life enrichment and memorable experiences. Our History
Three decades ago, the University Club of the University of Missouri began as a social club for alumni and friends of the university. As the former University Club, we hosted a wide variety of events, from retirements to fundraisers to birthdays and anniversaries of members. We were known for elegant and delicious meals, rich conversation, specialty events and memorable experiences.
Today, as the City Club of Columbia, we are expanding our focus to showcase all the unique experiences Columbia has to offer.

Creating Community One Moment at a Time
City Club of Columbia organizes a variety of carefully crafted events and experiences for members of the Columbia community enjoy. We offer interesting speakers, entertaining performers and engaging event hosts that everyone can enjoy at different venues throughout the city. Each event we host is designed to offer one or more of the following:
Education.
We believe that learning is a life-long endeavor. We want attendees to leave each event with a new perspective to help them better appreciate everyday life.
Enjoyment.
Each event is designed to give participants an enjoyable experience that can create lasting memories.
Friendships.
Event attendees will have the opportunity to get to know other residents of Columbia through meaningful interactions. We offer experiences that foster friendships both new and old.

The board members of the City Club of Columbia are all former supporters of the University Club who recognized the benefits of an organization that provided a bridge between “town and gown.” We are dedicated to expanding beyond the offerings of the University to showcase all the unique and authentic opportunities available throughout our city.
